About the Area

The Ionian Islands group consists of seven main islands
anchored in the Ionian Sea; Corfu, Paxi, Lefkas (Lefkada),
Kefallonia, Ithaki, Zakynthos, and Kythira - the last being
more accessible from the Peloponnese. Between these
seven are numerous yachts for sale making the area very
attractive for purchasing your dream yacht in Greece.

 Lefkas Island with a vibrant Lefkas town and an every
growing Lefkas Marina catering for all yachting needs and
naturally attracts blue water live aboard cruisers. Facilities
for yacht sales are perfect. The new bridge to the Ionian
makes access from Athens to Lefkas far easier for buying
a yacht in Greece and opens up a large cruising area for
the discerning yachtsman.

Williams & Smithells yacht sales and brokerage office is located in a highly visible area of Lefkas Marina, close to the marina office and has the greatest concentration of yachts for sale.

Corfu is ideally placed for the blue water yachtsman, is in easy striking distance of plenty of safe anchorages with Gouvia Marina offering extensive pontoons and berthing facilities. It is also the base for the recently introduced seaplane service with scheduled flights linking Corfu, Lefkada, Keffalonia and Patra.

Igoumenitsa has a growing number of yachts for sale and lies on the mainland in Northwest Greece opposite Corfu. Along with Patra it forms the main ferry route to Italy (Brindisi, Bari, Ancona, Trieste, Venice). Sagiada is a sleepy fishing village 20km north of Igoumenitsa favoured by the day-tripping yachtsman set from Corfu.

Preveza and the Aktio area 15km north of Lefkas provide the largest shore side yacht storage facilities in the Ionian. No more than a 5 minute drive from Preveza Airport three Preveza boatyards can accommodate well over 1000 yachts, many of these yachts are for sale through Williams & Smithells with whom we have a very close working relationship.

Nidri and Vlicho just 16km and 19km south of Williams & Smithells office in Lefkas respectively are popular with the yacht community, from live-aboard owners, charterers and both boat buyers and sellers alike.
